Connect Mailchimp with your X (formerly Twitter) account to post tweets with Mailchimp and add X content to your email campaigns.
In this article, you'll learn how to connect and use Mailchimp for X (formerly Twitter).
Connect X (formerly Twitter)
You can connect your X (formerly Twitter) account to a specific audience, or make it the default account for all audiences.
To connect an X (formerly Twitter) account to Mailchimp, follow these steps.
- Navigate to the X (formerly Twitter) detail page.
- Click Connect.
- If necessary, log in to your X (formerly Twitter) account. Review the connection details and click Authorize app.
- Click the Audience to connect drop-down menu and select the Mailchimp audience you want to connect to your X (formerly Twitter) account.

- Click Connect.
Nice job! You’ll see a success message on the X (formerly Twitter) detail page.
Manage your X (formerly Twitter) connection
Once you've connected your Mailchimp and X (formerly Twitter) accounts, you can review and adjust connection details.
To manage your X (formerly Twitter) connection, follow these steps.
- Click Integrations, and then choose Manage.

- Click X (formerly Twitter).
- To change the audience you're connecting to, click the Audience to connect drop-down menu, select the new audience and click Connect.
- To verify the connection, click Test Connection. We'll display a success message and the connection details for you to verify.

Sometimes you may need to disconnect an X (formerly Twitter) account from your audience. For example, maybe you’ve started a new X (formerly Twitter) account and want to connect that one instead.
To disconnect an X (formerly Twitter) account from an audience, follow these steps.
- Click Integrations, and then choose Manage.

- Click X (formerly Twitter).
- Click Disconnect.
After you disconnect, your X (formerly Twitter) account will no longer be connected to your audience or set as your account default.
