Use the Metrics Visualizer

by Intuit Updated 5 months ago

Use the Metrics visualizer to quickly view important email metrics for engagement and e-commerce, such as click rate, open rate, orders, revenue, and more. Use the pre-built metrics to get an instant visualization. Data visualization can provide you with relevant insights to help you make informed, data-backed decisions for your business.

In this article, you'll learn how to use the Metrics visualizer.

Before you start

Here are some things to know before you begin this process.

Definitions

Here are some terms you’ll come across in this article.

  • Visualization
    A chart of your data.
  • Metrics visualizer
The default tab for Custom reports that provides options for generating visualization charts to show email performance by metric, time, and data group.
  • Pre-built visualizations
A list of available metrics that immediately displays your data.

How it works

The Metrics visualizer makes it easy to view the email metrics that matter the most to you. Manually filter your data by e-commerce, product, cart, or audience metrics. Or browse the pre-built metrics to get a visualization right away. Set the date range for the data you want to display, which could be anywhere from 1 day to 1 year of data. Once your visualization is generated, you can easily modify it by changing the data or chart type.

Create a visualization

Here are the ways to create a visualization.

Manually filter your data

To generate a visualization manually, follow these steps.

  1. Click Analytics, then click Custom Reports. The Metrics visualizer will open automatically.
  2. Click the Select a metric drop-down and choose an email metric.
  3. Click the Date range drop-down to open the time frame options. NO ALT-metrics-visualizer-date-drop-down
  4. Click Date range from the second drop-down to select a time frame, or use Start date and End date to choose a custom date range.

To modify your chart, follow these steps.

  1. Use the drop-downs to change the metric, time frame, or data group. Click Modify to update the chart.
  2. To change how the chart is displayed, click the Chart type drop-down and select the one you want to work with. Chart types vary, depending on the metrics and dates selected.
