by Intuit Updated 8 months ago

Learn how to transfer your billing from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to QuickBooks.

If you want to sign up for QuickBooks Online Payroll and are currently billed through an app store, you need to transfer your billing to QuickBooks Online.

Transfer your subscription

Once you’ve signed up for QuickBooks Payroll, you’ll need to transfer your billing over from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Once you complete the transfer, you’ll receive an email confirming the transfer.

  1. On the We need to transfer your QuickBooks subscription page, select Transfer subscription.
  2. If you want to enter your billing info at a later time, select Continue to payroll.
  3. After you've completed the transfer, cancel your subscription on the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.

Frequently asked questions

Can I still use QuickBooks on my desktop and mobile devices?
Yes, your access to QuickBooks and the app won’t be interrupted. Once you transfer, you’ll be billed directly through QuickBooks instead of the app store.

When will I be charged for QuickBooks after transferring from the app store?
Your first bill date will be 30 days after you transfer. This way, we won’t bill you twice because your subscription is current with the app store.

What if I forget to cancel?
We’ll send you a reminder email. If you transfer to QuickBooks billing and don’t cancel in the app store, you may get billed twice. Contact Apple or Google for a refund if this happens.

Will I lose my QuickBooks data?
No, your data is safe. If you cancel in the app store but don’t finish transferring to QuickBooks billing, we retain your data for 1 year.
