Transfer your billing from app stores to QuickBooks to sign up for add-ons

Learn how to transfer your billing from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to QuickBooks.

If you want to sign up for add-ons, such as Intuit QuickBooks Workforce or QuickBooks Desktop Payroll or Intuit Intelligence chat, and your subscription is currently billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, you need to transfer your billing to QuickBooks Online first.

Web instructions

1. For the add-on you want to purchase, go to one of the following pages in product:
   • Payroll: Go to All apps , then Payroll, then Overview (Take me there). Then select Transfer subscription.
   • Intuit Intelligence: Visit the Intuit Intelligence chat Add-on page. Then select Buy more prompts.
2. Enter your payment information to transfer your existing subscription to QuickBooks. You won't be charged until your next billing date.
3. After you've completed the transfer, cancel your subscription on the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.

Mobile instructions

1. Open the QuickBooks mobile app and go to Menu .
2. Find the Payroll or Intuit Intelligence Chat card, then select Learn more.
3. Enter your payment information to transfer your existing subscription to QuickBooks. You won't be charged until your next billing date.
4. After you've completed the transfer, cancel your subscription on the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.

Important:

• You must cancel your app store subscription before your next billing date to avoid being charged by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
• Payroll setup happens on the web. The QuickBooks mobile app doesn't support setting up Payroll today, so you'll finish setup in a browser after you transfer your billing.

Frequently asked questions

Can I still use QuickBooks on my desktop and mobile devices?
Yes, your access to QuickBooks and the QuickBooks mobile app won't be interrupted. Once you transfer, you'll be billed directly through QuickBooks instead of the app store.

When will I be charged for QuickBooks after transferring from the app store?
Your billing date and plan stay the same. You won't be charged for QuickBooks on the day you transfer — your next charge will be on your usual billing date.

What if I forget to cancel?
We'll send you push notifications to remind you. If you transfer to QuickBooks billing and don't cancel in the app store, you may get billed twice. Contact Apple or Google for a refund if this happens.

Will I lose my QuickBooks data?
No, your data is safe. If you cancel in the app store but don't finish transferring to QuickBooks billing, we'll keep your data for 1 year.
