Learn how to troubleshoot common errors when installing WooCommerce in QuickBooks Commerce.
If you encounter errors while working with the WooCommerce integration, don’t worry. We’ll show you the different errors, and what you can do to fix them.
| Error Message | Solution |
| Invalid Signature Unable to install: Authentication Error: Invalid Signature - provided signature does not match. | This happens when the WooCommerce consumer key and consumer secret have expired or are no longer valid. Go to WooCommerce and reset the WooCommerce Application Programming Interface (API) key. |
| WooCommerce hosting provider is breaking API requests Unable to install: Authentication Error: oauth_consumer_secret is missing | This happens because the hosting provider that connects QuickBooks Commerce and WooCommerce removes headers when requested on their e-commerce stores. Request your hosting provider to authorize the transmission of these parameters to WooCommerce. |
| Invalid URL Unable to install: We cannot connect to your store's API at "http://test.com", please double-check the URL and that the API has been enabled and try again. | This happens because of an incorrect Uniform Resource Locator (URL) entered. 1. Copy and re-paste the URL. 2. Use the entire URL including the https: and the .com. 3. Enter the components of the URL that come after the .com. For example:If your URL is http://test.com/store, entering just http://test.com generates this error. |
| https Certificate We are unable to validate the SSL certificate for https://test.com | This happens when your WooCommerce website either has an incorrect Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate or doesn’t have an SSL certificate. If you attempt to use a Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) protocol, the error will appear. This means your URL doesn’t begin with https. Remove the s from https and re-try the URL. |
