When managing employee information, there are a few things you need to know. We discuss the importing and exporting of this essential company data below.

Import employee data 

  • You can't import employee information from another application.
  • When you convert a company file from QuickBooks Desktop to form a new QuickBooks Online company, the conversion includes employee contact information, but not payroll data.

Export employee data

You can export employee information by creating a report and exporting it to Microsoft Excel.
