Audience Settings and Defaults

by Intuit2 Updated 3 weeks ago

Each audience in your account has settings that you can change or edit. These settings include your audience name and details, default email info, and default form options.

In this article, you'll learn how to view and update the settings and defaults for an audience.

Before you start

Here are some things to know before you begin this process.

  • Changes made on the Audience settings page won't automatically update on your signup forms. To edit your hosted signup form, use the form builder.
  • Changes made to the from email address apply only to the emails created after the change. You’ll need to manually update the from email address for existing drafts or scheduled emails.
  • GDPR fields, labels, and requirements can be changed in the GDPR fields editor.
  • Double opt-in can be enabled only for Mailchimp signup forms. If you need help with a form integration or the API, contact your developer or hire a Mailchimp expert.

View audience settings

To view your audience settings, follow these steps.

  1. Click Audience, then click All contacts.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. If you have more than 1 audience, click the Audience drop-down and choose the one you want to work with.

That’s it! Now you can review and edit your audience details, email settings, and form settings for each audience.
