Learn how to apply for and set up a Human Interest or Accrue 401(k) plan.

QuickBooks has partnered with Human Interest and Accrue to cater your 401(k) retirement plan needs. This will save you time with automatic payroll deductions, you’ll get affordable prices, and may qualify for tax credits.

Get a 401(k) retirement plan in QuickBooks Online Payroll

Find and apply for a retirement plan that suits your needs.

  1. Go to All apps A bunch of numbers and letters on a tile wall., then Payroll, then Benefits (Take me there).
  2. From the Retirement Plans section, select Find a plan with Human Interest or Accrue. If you want to talk to a specialist instead, select Talk to [Partner name] and you’ll be given a phone number to call.
  3. When you select Find a plan, you’ll be redirected to the partner’s web page where you can choose a plan. Select Get Started to proceed.

What happens next

Based on the 401(k) plan you’ve elected, the 401(k) partner will set up the automatic payroll deductions for you. The 401(k) contributions will be deducted from your employee’s paycheck, then you’ll directly pay the 401(k) provider. 

Contact the 401(k) provider 

In your QuickBooks, go to Payroll, then Benefits. Select Talk to [Partner name]. Or visit the Human Interest or Accrue website.
