Migrate your Amazon integration in QuickBooks Online

by Intuit Updated 3 days ago

Learn how to migrate your Amazon Seller Connector in QuickBooks Online.

With the QuickBooks Online and Amazon integration, you can automatically import your sales transactions to QuickBooks. We’ve been investing resources to improve your experience.

We’ll go over some key differences between the two apps and how the migration process works.

Amazon Marketplace Connector features

Here are some of the key benefits of migrating:

  • The current Amazon app brings in sales transactions right away. The previous app only brought in transactions based on ‌settlement reports made every 2 weeks.
  • The current app can import historical data up to 12 months. The previous app was limited to 90 days.
  • You can find the current Amazon connector in App Transactions or Integration Transactions under Accounting App. It'll no longer show in the Commerce tab, Sales Orders, Refunds, or Payouts tabs.
  • The current app automatically imports item-level details. You can add these details in the For Review tab. Once an item is added, QuickBooks remembers this info for future transactions.

What's staying the same

  • Data brought in through the connector can be reviewed before it’s added to the books by going to Transactions, then App Transactions. You can Undo added transactions in the Reviewed tab.
  • Sales, fees, sales tax, and shipping costs are automatically mapped to the correct account in your chart of accounts and can all be changed in the App settings.

Connect the new Amazon Marketplace Connector by Intuit

You may be prompted to migrate to the new Amazon app in several ways, such as in-product messaging, bell notification reminders, or emails sent from QuickBooks.

  1. When prompted to migrate, select Get started.
  2. You’ll need to grant permission for QuickBooks and Amazon to share product details. Select Give permission.
  3. In the new tab that opens, enter your Amazon account login credentials, then select Sign in.
  4. Select the bank account where you want to deposit sales, then Next.
  5. Select if you want to automatically add transactions.
  6. Select the date when you want to start importing transactions from. The date of your last data sync is automatically selected.
  7. Select Finish.

To manage the connection or review tasks, go to the My Apps section or My Integrations.

Note: Default settings are pre-configured for you. You can update them anytime, but we recommend talking to your account first.
