Learn how to edit a sales order in QuickBooks Commerce.
When a customer makes a purchase, you can create a sales order manually or automatically by connecting your sales channels to QuickBooks Commerce. If there are changes, you can edit them to make sure that they’re up-to-date. Here’s how.
Learn the stages of a sales order
You can edit parts of the sales order depending on what stage it's currently in.
Note: You can only increase Stock Quantity.
Draft
Active
Finalized
Fulfilled
Edit a sales order
You can edit a sales order if there are any updates to the order.
Remove items from a sales order
You can delete items in a sales order if there are no attached invoice payment, shipment, or return.
Note: Once you fulfill the line items in the sales order, you can’t remove them. You can create a return instead.
If the line items are invoiced but not fulfilled
You can delete the invoice from the sales order to remove the line item, then create the invoice again.
If you want to delete a fulfillment from a fulfilled sales order
You can’t delete a fulfillment from a fulfilled sales order, but here’s what you can do.
