Change custom GST rates

Learn how to update a custom GST rate you created in QuickBooks Online.

If your business requires a custom GST rate, the following article will show you how to make changes to it as necessary.

  1. Go to All apps A bunch of numbers and letters on a tile wall., select GST, then select Overview (Take me there).
  2. Select Settings â–Ľ dropdown, then select Edit rates.
  3. Turn On or Off the switch beside the tax rate you want to make active or inactive.
  4. To confirm your changes, select Yes.
Note: Changes to the GST rate will apply to any future transactions you add it to. If you need to change the GST rate for an existing transaction, open that transaction and edit the rate manually.
