Automatically invoice unbilled time activities in QuickBooks Online

Learn how to automatically invoice unbilled time activities in QuickBooks Online Essentials, Plus, and Advanced.

Need help billing your customers for time activities? We got you covered. QuickBooks can automatically create invoices of unbilled time activities for you.

Turn on the setting to automatically invoice unbilled activities

1. Go to Settings ⚙, then select Account and settings.
2. Select Advanced, then, in the Automation, select Edit ✎.
3. Turn on the Automatically invoice unbilled activity switch.
4. Set the invoice schedule and notification settings you prefer.
   Note: QuickBooks creates the invoices the night of the scheduled date.
5. Select Save.

View invoices automatically created for unbilled activities

Choose one of the following ways to view auto-created invoices for unbilled activities:

• Go to Sales, then select Invoices (Take me there).
• Use the audit log and filter invoices created by "System Administrator".
