Learn how to use direct debit to pay your QuickBooks Online subscription.
Direct debit is an easy and reliable way to pay for your subscription. When it’s time to pay, we’ll debit your bank account instead of your credit card.

Before you start
- Only an admin can update payment info for your account.
- You'll need to update payment info in QuickBooks Online using a web browser. You won't be able to update payment information from the mobile app.
How to change your payment method to direct debit
In QuickBooks Online Accountant
- Select Settings ⚙ and then Subscriptions & Billing.
- Select Billing details and then Edit billing information.
- Select Bank Transfer, then enter your account info.
- Select Save.
In QuickBooks Online
- Select Settings and then Account and settings.
- In the Payment method section, select Edit ✎.
- Select Bank Transfer, then enter your account info.
- Select Save.
Note: If you're missing the Subscriptions and billing tab, you may have purchased QuickBooks Online through another source like iTunes or Google Marketplace. If not, try clearing your cache and refresh the page.
