Use the Finance Agent for financial insights

The Finance Agent in QuickBooks Online Advanced helps you manage your business finances. It uses financial data to give you a summary and recommendations to help you plan ahead. You can also chat with the Finance Agent to get even more help. 

Open and customise your financial summary

1. Follow this link to complete the steps in product
2. Select Review Summary.
3. From the Report period ▼ dropdown, select a time period for your summary.
4. From the Accounting method ▼ dropdown, select the appropriate accounting method.
5. Select Edit and export to PDF.
6. Make any changes to the text of the summary. Remove any widgets or recommendations you don’t want.
7. Select Generate PDF to create your customised summary.

The Finance Agent provides:

• The ability to drill down into specific areas, such as income by customer or class.
• Daily updates to your financial data (you can also refresh manually).
• Comparisons to industry standards, your goals, or budgets.
• Recommendations to help you increase income and reduce expenses.
• Monthly performance summaries across multiple entities that gives a parent-level view of performance. This reduces manual consolidation effort and enables more confident decision-making for complex organisations.
• Contextualisation of actuals against budgets, goals and forecasts—including balance sheet forecasting—helping CFOs identify potential deviations earlier and course-correct with confidence.
• Shortens analysis cycles and improves day-to-day productivity.
