Appreciate your time reaching out to us, @lburnip
We have received reports with other users getting the same performance issues when trying to export reports to excel.
We have already submitted a ticket about this issue. Our engineers are all hands on deck working together for a fix to sort everything out. At this point, we can try saving the report that isn’t exporting as a Customized report. Some users were able to export their report by following the workaround provided.
Here’s how:
- Go to Reports from the left menu.
- On the Search bar, type the report that you want to export.
- Click Customize and choose the specific filter.
- Click Run report.
- Click Save customization and fill in the necessary information.
- Click Save.
Once you’ve done creating customized report, here’s what you’ll need to do:
- Click on Custom Reports Tab.
- Look for the report created.
- Click on the drop-down list in the Action column.
- Click Export to Excel.
To receive resolution updates, please contact our QuickBooks Online Care Team to add you to the list of affected users. To contact support:

I appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue working toward a resolution. If there’s anything else you need help with, please don’t hesitate to reach back out. Take care.
