Hello there, @Superpaige.

I appreciate you for bringing up your concern about mileage tracking concern in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE). Know that this is not the kind of service that we want you to experience. Let's perform some troubleshooting solutions to get your mileage working out.

As an initial step, let's clear the app's cache files. Doing so helps in fixing any sort of errors in the system. Here’s how:

  1. From the Menu ☰, select Help & Feedback.
  2. Select Refresh Data.
  3. Hit Refresh.

Once refreshed, restart your mobile phone, log back in, and start saving your favorite locations. If you get the same result, uninstall and reinstall the QuickBooks Self-Employed app.

If you forgot your device on a trip or didn't turn it on, you can always enter the mileage manually and add the trips in QuickBooks. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Miles tab.
  2. Click Add Trip.
  3. Fill in the necessary fields.
  4. Switch on the Round Trip radio button.
  5. Click Save.
