In order to fix an incorrect ending balance, you'll have to undo the entire reconciliation by following the steps on the answer I provided above. Before you follow the steps, here are some reasons why the ending balance is incorrect:
- Incorrect ending balance at the start of the reconciliation.
- Missing or duplicate transactions in QuickBooks.
- Entered transactions into QuickBooks that haven't cleared your bank.
