Export Data and History
How do I export data and history so that I can import to another accounting program such as Sage Cloud or Xero? My experience over many years has been disappointing. The recent QBO update made downloading bank transactions impossible. Downloading transactions hasn't worked properly for years. Now I do it manually. I also just found out QBO has effectively eliminated tech support. Sage Cloud and Xero appear to be the best alternative. Lucky you if you can afford Oracle Netsuite.

Hello there, adrask1n.
I see that you need to import the data to different accounting software. And I'm here to help export the history and information from QuickBooks Online.
Here's how:
- From the Gear icon, select Export Data.
- Select the reason why you're exporting, then click Continue.
- On the Reports tab, set the desired date range.
- Add or remove items from the Reports and Lists tabs by toggling the slider.
- Select Export to Excel.
After that, you'll be prompted with confirmation that the data has been exported.
If you'd like to export other reports, you can check out this article to learn how: Export reports to Excel.
Once you export your reports, these will include the posting transactions. However, the non-posting entries won't. For more details in exporting them, see this article's Export non-posting transactions and attachments section: Export reports, lists, and more.
Aside from exporting your data, you can also search apps in the QuickBooks App store that'll provide continuous backup.
I've also included an article about canceling your QuickBooks Online subscription. This helps you avoid any charges in the future: Cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription.
Let us know if you have other questions in exporting your data. We're always here to answer them for you. Have a nice day!
