Hi there, patrson1.
Allow me to add some information to clarify and address your concerns about importing data into QuickBooks Online.
That's correct, importing IIF files is only available in QuickBooks Desktop. We currently don't have the option to import data in IIF file format from the QuickBooks Point of Sale system to QuickBooks Online. You can, however, import data into QuickBooks Online using a CSV (Comma Separated Values) file, Google Sheets, or an XLS/XLSX file.
Here's some information about the various formats:
- CSV file: A common file format used for text files that contain tabular data. In CSV files, each field of text is separated by a comma, semicolon, or other special character.
- XLS/XLSX file: XLS is the file format of Microsoft Excel 1997-2003. Microsoft Excel 2007 and newer use the XLSX file format.
- Google Sheets: A cloud-based spreadsheet created in Google Drive.
