Employees and payroll

There's no option to stop the automated tax payments and filing for this current quarter, cameron. Let me share additional details about this option.

Since today is already part of the first quarter, QuickBooks Online (QBO) will still handle this quarter even if you turn off the Automate taxes and forms feature now. If you turn it off, you can only file and pay your taxes starting April 1.

Here's how you can turn this feature off:

  1. Go to the Settings ⚙ icon, then click Payroll Settings.
  2. Tap Edit ✎ in the Taxes and forms section
  3. Untick the Automate taxes and forms checkbox.
  4. Select how you plan to make your tax payments and filings, and click Save.

You can visit this article for more details about this process: Manage automatic tax payments and form filings.

Also,  you can always reach out to our Payroll Support Team in case you need further assistance with changes in your filing process.

Furthermore, you can check out this article as your reference in filing your payroll taxes and forms in QBO: Pay and file payroll taxes and forms in Online Payroll.

I'm only a post away if you need more help completing your other QuickBooks tasks. It's always my pleasure to help you out again. Have a good day!
