How do you record a federal tax payment if done outside of QB? Also how do you adjust payroll figures for an employee impacted by the payment (i.e. Fed Withholding)?

Lets say you make a payroll payment directly through IRS EFTPS, how do you record this in QB and also adjust your figure related to that payment for an employee (i.e. federal withholding)?

This EFTPS payment is specifically made to increase federal withholding for an employee.
