We can select Edit location to add the local tax jurisdiction of the affected county, C-D1. Let me expound it for you.
Yes, there are counties that QuickBooks cannot specifically offer when setting up the local tax. This is due to the jurisdiction restrictions per state. For us to calculate the taxes accurately under the correct county, we'll have to enter the city and ZIP code combination manually.
- Let's go back to the Employees tab.
- Select the employee you want to correct.
- Click Edit on the Tax withholdings section.
- Go to the Local taxes section. and click Edit location.
- Enter the specific city and ZIP code for the local tax jurisdiction of the county.
- Save the changes.
