The program manages IRS forms 941/944, 940, W-2, state unemployment insurance, state withholding tax, and local withholding taxes. On the other hand, if the notice is for other business taxes, like sales, corporate income, and franchise tax it must be directed to your accountant or tax advisor.
Following that, you must confirm that you were on active service during the notice period. Check to see if the notice applies when QBO was processing your payroll. If the notice arrives before your enrollment in the program, reach out to the person or company that handled your payroll at that time.
After that, you're now ready to send your tax notice. Here's how:
- On the first page of your tax notice, hand write your Federal Employer Identification Number (EIN). Then, send each notice of discrepancy separately if you have more than one.
- To send your notice to Intuit, you may have two options.
- In QBO:
- Navigate to the Taxes menu and select Payroll tax.
- Next, under Filing resources click Tax Notice.
- Then, follow the on-screen steps to send your notice to Intuit.
