When I used Wave Accounting, it would automatically remit to CRA the employees' payroll deductions on a monthly basis. Can quickbooks online do that?

Thanks for reaching out here. QuickBooks Online Payroll is ideal for paying your staff on time. I can see how you'd benefit from automatic submissions for your monthly remittances. I'll be happy to provide more information so you're on track with your QuickBooks goals!
Although you can record a payroll tax payment in QuickBooks, you'll need to pay your remittance on the CRA website.
Here's how to generate the PD7A:
1. Select Taxes and then Payroll tax from the left menu
2. Open the Filings tab
3. Choose Remittance forms (monthly)
4. Select the Tax period and hit View to open it
5. Download or Print the form
Follow these steps to record the payment:
1. From the Payroll tax centre open the Payments tab
2. Select Pay and choose the Bank account from the ▼ dropdown menu
3. Enter the Payment date
4. Hit Record Payment or Record and print

Thank you, Trish, for your thorough response. Do you know if Quickbooks plans to add the feature of automatic remittances in the future? I am still considering my use of quickbooks as a trial and didn't expect to find Wave Accounting superior in this regard. I switched because I thought quickbooks would save time, but really appreciated the time-saving nature of automatic remittances!
