I'm here to correct the misunderstanding to ensure your goal will achieve as soon as possible. 

 

Are you referring to your Chart of Accounts in QuickBooks Desktop? If so, you can reactivate or view your inactive accounts by going to the List menu. The Gear icon only displays if you're using QuickBooks Online. The two programs have various steps and buttons to reactivate the account.

 

To revive your account in QBDT, follow the steps below: 

 

  1. Go to the List icon on the upper left side. 
  2. Press Ctrl + A to open the Chart of Accounts. 
  3. Check the Include inactive box in the bottom part. 
  4. Hit the mark beside the inactive accounts to make them active again.
