My colleague, MarkAngeloG, is correct about the inability of QBDT 2021 to operate on Windows 11. The mentioned version of the application only operates on the following Windows servers:
- Windows 10, all editions including 64-bit, natively installed
- Windows 8.1, all editions including 64-bit, natively installed
- Windows Server 2019, Standard and Essentials
- Windows Server 2016, Standard and Essentials
If you currently have Windows 11, you may also consider upgrading to higher versions of QBDT, as QuickBooks Desktop 2021 software will be discontinued by May 31, 2024.
