Thanks for getting in touch with the Community, Anne16720.
I've reviewed our investigation (INV-73387) about Error #11949 appearing when trying to use Shipping Manger and can confirm it was closed on August 23, 2024. Intuit's Product Investigations team left notes advising your IT professional can try the couple workarounds listed on our investigation.
Here's the steps your IT professional can try (this is for renaming the Shipping Manager folders):
- Browse to the following folders in Windows File Explorer:
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Intuit\ShippingManager
• C:\Users\[WindowsUserName]\AppData\Roaming\Intuit\ShippingManager - Right-click the folder name, choose Rename, and add OLD to the end of the name (…ShippingManagerOLD).
- Repair/Reinstall QuickBooks, reboot your computer even if you're not prompted, then try setting up Shipping Manager again.
If necessary, your IT professional can also try re-registering the Ship Rush OCX file:
- Click the Windows Start menu, now select All Programs, then after select Accessories.
- You need to right click Command Prompt and after that select Run as Administrator.
- In your command prompt window you need to type this command to change your working directory and after that press Enter:
• cd c:\Windows\syswow64 - You need to type the following command in your command prompt window and press Enter to register the ShipRush file:
• regsvr32.exe “c:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Intuit\ShippingManager\ZRush_ShipRush9_QB.ocx” - Click OK on the message that displayed.
- Reboot the computer and try to setup Shipping Manager again.
Another option recommended in the investigation's closing notes is creating your labels directly from the shipping provider's website.
I've also included a detailed resource about working with Shipping Manager which may come in handy moving forward: QuickBooks Shipping Manager
If there's any additional questions, I'm just a post away. Have a wonderful Thursday!
