Ctrl+P is indeed the keyboard shortcut to open the manual registration window. Since it didn't work for you, please try the following workaround:
1. Go to Help, and select Manage my license.
2. Click Change my license number, then enter the license number as all 0s.
3. Don't enter the validation code and then select Finish.
4. Navigate to Help, then go to Manage my license and choose Change my license number.
5. Enter your license number. When prompted, enter the validation code, then select Finish.
Please keep in mind that since QuickBooks 2008 Pro Desktop is an older version, it may not be fully compatible with newer operating systems like Windows 11.
