Manage Your Account

Hi there, @mandy. Let me help share information about error 106 and how to download your bank transactions to QuickBooks.

I've checked our records, and the investigation of banking error 106 for ABSA Bank is still in progress. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused, and our engineers are doing everything possible to get this fix and working again as soon as possible.

If you haven't contacted our Technical Support team yet, please do so. They can add you to the list of our affected users. This way, you'll receive a notification email whenever an update becomes available.

Here's how to reach out to them:

  1. Click Help at the upper-right-hand side of QBO.
  2. Type in Bank Error and press Enter.
  3. Select Contact Support, then type in Bank Error once again.
  4. Click No, I still need help.
  5. Select Contact Support Team, then click Chat with us.

In the meantime, you can manually bring in those transactions into QuickBooks Online by uploading a web connect file. This is a file from your bank that contains your transactions. Please check this article for the detailed steps: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

Let me also share these articles for additional guidance and references when using online banking in QBO:
