Manage customers and income

While I can assist with the QuickBooks side of invoicing, D-Tools controls how your quotes are mapped to our system. To avoid the manual work you mentioned, it's best to consult with D-Tools support. They can recommend an add-on designed to handle quantity billing that's fully compatible with their software and QuickBooks Online (QBO).

However, if you are creating quotes directly within QBO, you can utilize the progress invoicing feature to convert a quote into an invoice while adjusting quantities. To get started, you need to enable this feature by navigating to Settings > Account and Settings > Sales > Progress Invoicing > Edit, then toggle it On.

Once enabled, you can follow these steps to convert an estimate and invoice it by quantity:

  1. Go to the Customer Hub > Quotes.
  2. Locate the quote, click the drop-down arrow next to Send, and select Convert to Invoice.
  3. Choose Manual entry for each line, then hit the Create invoice button.
  4. You can then update the quantity for each line item as needed.
  5. Once done, click Save.

You can keep track of your progress invoices on the Invoices page.
