Hi Raeleneb,
Being able to freely move your company file between computers is imperative to make sure you can always access your company file. I can help go over how to do this.
At this time Canadian QuickBooks Desktop isn't compatible with Mac OS and won't work when installed. If you have a windows partition on your Mac you can install it on there and move the company file over using a flash drive without any issues. Should you wish to use QuickBooks on a Mac I'd suggest looking into our QuickBooks Online program as it supports all operating systems. You can find out more about QuickBooks Online here.
If you're using the American version of QuickBooks Desktop for Mac I suggest reaching out to our American QuickBooks community to find out more about how this can be done. You can find their community site here.
Have a great night!

Is it it possible to save the Windows Quickbooks Enteprrise Desktop 2023 Canada company file in Mac format?
I have noticed a similar thread for Quickbooks Enteprrise Desktop 2023 US version and there was a suggestion to use File/Utilities/"Copy company file to Mac..." . There is no such option in the QB of my client.

Hello SAlxn. Thanks for chiming in on this thread. I'll be happy to share more info about QuickBooks Desktop and Mac. Currently, QB Desktop Canada doesn't operate on Mac, however, you can use a workaround provided in this article here. You're more than welcome to ask other questions as you browse through the article. I'll be on standby.

I would recommend you use Parallels + Windows 10 to run QB (Windows) on your Mac. This is a paid license but works better than BootCamp. Then you can use the trial version of QBD 2023 Enterprise Accountant edition for good to manage your client's file.

Thanks, a lot this is working. However went on another path. Had in company IT capabilities just configured desktop connections to client's remote server. So anybody with Mac or Windows can use seamlessly the windows version of Quickbooks Desktop installed on server.
appreciate the advice!
