Hi there, @info224,
It's nice to have you here today. I can share some insights about the error message you're getting when updating QuickBooks.
You'll normally get this error when the program is unable to connect with the internet, using incorrect browser and incompatible security settings. These instances may interfere the updating process. To get past the problem, follow the steps below to review your Internet Explorer settings:
- Open Internet Explorer on your computer.
- Go toTools, and select Internet Options.
- From the Security tab, click the Globe icon and make sure the security level is no higher then Medium-high.
- Go to the Connections tab, select Never Dial a Connection if you do not use the dial-up node (DUN) on the system, or select the correct ISP if you do.
- Hit OK.
- Pick LAN Settings, then make sure the automatically detect settings is selected, and check whether Use a Proxy Server checkbox is clear.
- Select Ok.
- From the Advanced tab, select Restore Advanced Settings, and, under Settings, locate Use TLS 1.2, and verify it is selected.
- Select OK.
- Close Internet Explorer.
Once done, reboot the computer and re-open QuickBooks Desktop and try the update again. You may also want to try checking other solutions from this article: Get help with errors 12002, 12007, 12009, 12029, and 12031 when updating
