How can I remove a bank account connection? I've entered details to connect but the system malfunctions and duplicates entries. I want to un-connect and upload manually.

Online Banking helps us manage our businesses, LongChurn.
Before disconnecting your bank account from QuickBooks Online, we'll need to make sure that duplicate entries are taken care of.
We'll need to undo the banking transactions that were added or matched and caused the duplicate issue.
- In the Banking page, go to the Reviewed section.
- Mark the added or matched transactions and click the Undo button.
After that, we can already disconnect your bank account:
- In the Banking page, highlight the bank account you want to disconnect.
- Click the pencil icon and select Edit account info.
- In the Account window, mark the Disconnect this account on save box.
- Click Save and Close.
Now, you'll need to use a valid WebConnect file when manually uploading your banking transactions. You can download it from your bank's website.
Then, you can follow the steps in this article to upload it: Manually Upload Transactions into QuickBooks Online.
If you decided to reconnect your bank account, then you can use this article for reference: Connect Bank and Card Accounts to QuickBooks Online.
I'll be right here if you have other concerns. Have a great day!

Other Questions
Thanks for the fast and detailed reply James.
The solution worked just fine.
Just a note for people using this solution: when I disconnected the account it looked as though all the banking transactions associated with this account and previously reconciled had been deleted. However, the data must have remained in the system somewhere because when I re-uploaded my transactions manually from a spreadsheet exported from my bank, it recognised them.
One minor issue occurred: it showed me as having 14 items still to match, but these were actually already in the system so I had to exclude them. Not sure why this would be.

Other Questions
Welcome back, LongChurn.
QuickBooks will download the most recent transactions after reconnecting an account. That's the reason you're seeing 14 items to be matched. You handled this situation pretty well by excluding them.
Thank you so much also for the insights. Other users will definitely take note it. And, I'll personally send this feedback to our Product Developers for review.
