Hello, bconnolly.
I would also raise concerns if a critical third-party component is going to be discontinued on a program I'm using. So, I'd like to turn this around and give some details about the soon-to-be discontinued IE11 browser and how we dealt with it.
We recently released a new built-in custom browser that replaces the IE11 browser. Since June 10, 2022 and onwards, all supported and updated QuickBooks Desktop versions will use the custom browser.
If you don't have the custom browser yet in your QuickBooks 2022 edition, then we'll want to update your program to implement it. Here's how to do it:
- Click the Help menu, then select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
- Go to the Update Now tab.
- Check all of the updates from the list.
- Proceed with the Get Update button, then wait for the download to finish.
- Follow the prompts to complete the update process.
More details about the built-in browser can be found here: Use our built-in browser in QuickBooks Desktop.
After getting the new built-in custom browser, do you need help managing your clients' bank transactions from the Bank Feeds? We can take a look at this article for the steps and details: Add and match Bank Feed transactions in QuickBooks Desktop.
I'm all ears if you have any other concerns regarding the update or any other functions in QuickBooks Desktop. Always here to help.
