Let's make sure you'll be able to log in to QuickBooks Desktop, axehead15.
Normally, this happens if QuickBooks is unable to connect to our services online. You'll want to follow this solution to fix the error. QuickBooks Desktop uses Internet Explorer (IE) to connect to our services online. Here's how:
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Select the Gear ⚙️ icon at the top right of the browser window. Or, press the Alt key on your computer to bring up the menu bar, then select the Tools menu.
- Select Internet Options from the menu.
- Select the Connections tab.
- Select the LAN settings button.
- Uncheck the checkbox Use a proxy server for your LAN.
- Select OK to close the LAN settings window.
- Select OK to close the Internet Options window.
You can also use Microsoft Edge as your main web browser replacement if you're not using IE. I've provided the steps below:
- Open Microsoft Edge.
- Select the three dots (...) at the top right of the browser window.
- Select Open with Internet Explorer.
- Follow the steps above to change the proxy server setting.
However if you're still unable to log in, I I recommend reaching out to our support team so they can look into this and investigate further. This way, they can also double-check if some users are also experiencing the same thing. Here's how to reach them:
- Open QuickBooks.
- Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
- Select Contact Us.
- Give a brief description of your issue, then select Let's talk, and then choose a way to connect.
