I understand how important it is to record the transactions to the correct income account, @SriniHN. I'm happy to lend you a hand with changing the account per item in QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise.
Let’s go over the item one at a time through the List window, and select the correct income account. From there, you'll get the prompt to update all existing transactions. If you want to change the income account for your historical data, choose Yes. Otherwise, click No.
- Go to Edit.
- Select Preferences.
- Choose General.
- Under My Preferences, put a checkmark on Bring back all one time messages to turn it on.
- Click OK.
Please also know that we’re currently unable to affect the changes on past transactions if you're editing the income account through the Add/Edit Multiple Items feature.
