You can open your checking account to modify the check you created. And yes, it removes from the Print now screen once the Print later box is unchecked.
Here’s how:
- Open your QuickBooks Desktop account.
- Go to your Lists menu, then Choose Chart of Accounts.
- Select your checking account.
- Locate the check. You can use the Sort by option to narrow down the result.
- Select it to open or press the Edit Transaction option at the top.

- Uncheck the Print later box and assign a number. Make some changes if needed.
- Click Save & Close after.
