To get started, let's utilize the QuickBooks File Doctor to recover and repair the remaining issues after rebuilding your data.
- Download and install the QuickBooks Tool Hub.
- Run Quick Fix My File.
- From the tool hub, select Company File Issues.
- Tap on Quick Fix My File.
- Hit OK when it completes and launch your QuickBooks.
- Run QuickBooks File Doctor.
- Select Company File Issues from the QuickBooks Tool Hub.
- Tap on Run QuickBooks File Doctor. It can take up to one minute for the file doctor to open. If the QuickBooks File Doctor doesn't open, search for QuickBooks Desktop File Doc and open it manually.
- In QuickBooks File Doctor, select your company file from the drop-down menu. If you don’t see your file, select Browse and search to find your file.
- Click on Check your file (middle option only), then Continue.
- Enter your QuickBooks admin password, then Next.
The scanning duration depends on your file size and can take 10–15 minutes. Once completed, open QuickBooks and access your company file.
