Hello Lmendez,
Welcome to the Community. I'm here to share information about using QuickBooks Desktop in Windows 11.
The recommended operating systems for QuickBooks Desktop older versions, like 2021, are Windows 10 and older. Here's the complete list of operating systems compatible with our software:
- Windows 10, all editions including 64-bit, natively installed
- Windows 8.1, all editions including 64-bit, natively installed
- Windows Server 2019, Standard and Essentials
- Windows Server 2016, Standard and Essentials
- Windows Server 2012 R2, Standard and Essentials
- Windows Server 2012, Standard and Essentials
You can use the QuickBooks 2021 in Windows 11, but there's no guarantee that everything will work smoothly. Also, I recommend updating the release if your QuickBooks Desktop isn't up-to-date. Aside from improving the performance of the software, this process also fixes common and unusual behaviors in the program.
Here's how:
- Click the Help tab in the upper-right corner, then select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
- Go to the Update Now tab.
- Select the updates you want to include.
- Put a checkmark on the box beside Reset Update.
- Hit Get Updates.
After following the steps above, please use the QuickBooks Print & Print Repair Tool from the QuickBooks Tool Hub to fix PDF issues. This way, you can fix the PDF issue and email an invoice without an error.
We also have the Verify Data and Verify Rebuild tools to fix issues related to the data. Here's an article about how these features self-identify data problems within a company file and self-resolve them using Rebuild Data: Verify and Rebuild Data in QuickBooks Desktop.
Please let me know if you need anything else about the QuickBooks product. We'll be here to lend a hand. The Community and I will be here to help you.
