In my version of QB Enterprise, there is a checkbox in the print window that says "Shade alternate table rows". That's what I use to print invoices with alternating color rows. When you go to print the invoice, see if you have that little box available to check. If you apply a color scheme in the layout designer, I think that will change the color of the rows but there is no actual layout setting that will set those rows to alternate colors.
