You're in the right place for help, @sarakh9. Ensuring that a bill is allocated correctly for each specific client is crucial to prevent any incorrect charges that could lead to disputes or dissatisfaction. To fix this, I'd be more than happy to outline the detailed steps you need.
In QBO, users can enable the option to Pre-fill forms with previously entered content within your company settings. Once enabled, any details you enter while creating a bill such as Category details, Item details, and amounts will be saved and automatically applied the next time you create a new bill.
To locate this feature, kindly follow these steps:
- Sign in to your QBO account.
- Go to the Settings icon and select Account and Settings.
- Select the Advanced tab and locate the Automation section.
- See the Pre-fill forms with previously entered content.
- Click Save and Done.
However, the Pre-fill forms with previously entered content option doesn't apply to the Billable box and Customer/Project section.
Furthermore, if you settled the bill using a credit card, cash, or a check, you can find it helpful to explore this informative article for more guidance: Enter and manage bills and bill payments in QBO.
By ensuring that clients are billed accurately and promptly, you can improve cash flow and reduce the risk of delayed payments. If there's anything we can assist you with, feel free to reach out. We're always available to help you.
