You'll want to run the IDP Diagnostics tool to help address the reminder on the top right corner of QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), @loilars. I'll walk you through the process, and let's sort this out.
Utilizing the IDP Diagnostics tool will conduct a deep check-up within the system and will determine possible errors on your device. Therefore, this speeds up the process of troubleshooting specific issues promptly. These are the steps:
- Run the IDP Diagnostic tool.
- Right-click the Intuit Data Protect (green padlock) icon in the Windows System Tray (typically located at the bottom right of your screen).
- Select About Intuit Data Protect.
- On your keyboard, press Ctrl+F2 to launch the Intuit Data Protect Diagnostics Tool.
- Select Run Diagnostics. If the Diagnostics Tool detects an issue with a firewall or third-party security software, you will need to reconfigure the software and/or hardware to allow access to Intuit Data Protect files.
On the other hand, if you want to access your company remotely, you can set them up on a server. You can refer to this page for more details: Open a company file on a remote computer.
