App performance issues are often caused by corrupted data. To fix this, let's go through some basic troubleshooting steps. First, you'll want to ensure your internet connection is stable and that both your app and device are up-to-date.
You can follow these steps to refresh your data based on your device:
For Android:
- Go to Menu, then tap More Options.
- Tap Settings, then select Refresh Data.
- Tap YES to confirm.
For IOS:
- Go to Settings, then tap General.
- Tap iPhone Storage, then select the QuickBooks Online app.
- Tap Offload App.
This process will free up storage while keeping your documents and data intact. Once done, you'll want to restart your phone and try using the Scan Receipt feature again to double-check if it's already working as expected. If the issue persists, I'd suggest reinstalling the app.
In the meantime, you can scan your receipts by signing in to your QBO account using any supported mobile web browser.
