Hello if this is really a bug that needs a fix, is there any progress? because it’s been a few months since the last post here and I’m getting the same error.
I’ve just started QB Online and am having the same issue. I turned on the sales tax center for Florida but it’s only importing sales tax from PayPal orders. The Shopify commerce app doesn’t sync to the Florida revenue account, it (creates a separate channel sales tax account) so I essentially have 2 separate sales tax to pay liability accounts with different amounts. And it only allows me to post a sales tax payment to the Shopify channel account. I would like the Shopify channel to also use the same Florida sales tax account so PayPal and Shopify sales tax go to the same, but it gives me that error if I try to. I merged the two sales tax accounts and thought it worked but now I can’t categorize a sales tax payment to that account because I get the same error the original poster has. It doesn’t allow me to post a payment to it! So I’m forced to keep them separate. Is this really a bug?
