Taxes
Hello there, PLCtreas.
I recognize your concern about the status of the 1099 forms for your contractors in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Ensuring that these tax forms have been sent out correctly and received by the intended recipients is crucial.
When you utilize our e-file service, we'll ensure your 1099 forms are promptly mailed to your contractors. By January 31, they'll receive the forms at the addresses specified in their profiles.
Contractors will be emailed once the IRS accepts the 1099s, informing them that their 1099 is now available for viewing. Let me share the steps on how to see the forms:
- Sign in to QuickBooks Self-Employed.
- Go to the Clients menu.
- Select the Forms tab.
- Check out the forms from there.
This reference provides in-depth insights about the process: Fill out a W-9 and view your 1099-MISC in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
Furthermore, these resources address the various statuses of submitted tax payments, filed forms, and guidelines for rectifying 1099 forms:
- Check the status of your payroll tax payments or filings sent through QuickBooks Payroll
- Correct or change 1099s in QuickBooks
- Troubleshoot missing contractors or wrong amounts on 1099s
