Gross Sales Are Less Than Taxable Sales in Sales Tax Report
Greetings. Every time I file sales taxes, the Sales Tax Liability Report in QBO shows the same illogical breakdown: Taxable Sales = Gross Sales + Nontaxable Sales. Here are the numbers from the current report:
Gross Total: $129,170.47
Nontaxable: $-2,722.70
Taxable Amount: $131,893.17
The Taxable Amount seems correct (based on my other records), so apparently the Gross Total is faulty. What could be causing the problem?
This is for a brick-and-mortar store using cash basis. All sales are in one location.
