How to create and use a products and services list

A Products and Services list contains the items your business offers. For these items to display on your invoices and other sales forms, the products and services preference must be turned on. You can add items so the list includes all the items you sell, edit item details as needed, and run various products/services reports.

Turn on Products and Services preferences

Here's how to turn on products and services preferences:

  1. Select the Gear icon on the Toolbar, then choose Products and Services.

  2. Select Sales, then go to the Products and Services section and select the pencil icon.
  3. Check the Show Product/Service column on sales forms box. (Note: Also check Show SKU column if you like to have the SKU field in Products and Services. Please be aware the SKU will only print if you are using the Airy form template.)
  4. Select Save and then Done.

Edit Product and Service details

You can also edit Products and Services details:

  1. Select the Gear icon on the Toolbar, then choose Products and Services.

  2. Find the product or service then in the Action column, select Edit.
  3. Update the product or service information then select Save and close.
Note: When you edit an item associated with a recurring transaction, you will be prompted to update the transaction as well.

You can change product and service from one item type to another except for Bundle and Inventory items. You can also change the account associated with a product and service item.

Run Products and Services reports

Run Products and Service reports:

  1. From the left menu, select Reports.

  2. In the Enter report name field, type in Product or Service.
  3. Select a specific report then customize it as needed.
