Q: How long does it take for payments from QuickBooks Online to deposit in my bank account?
A: Generally, credit card payment deposits will be in your account the next business day (weekends and holidays are excluded). If you signed up for the accelerated deposit plan for bank transfer (ACH) deposits, your bank transfer deposits will too. Your deposit cutoff time is 3 PM PT. Payments processed after 3 PM PT go into the next deposit.

Q: Why don't credit card processing fees come out of my bank account on the same day my deposit goes in from QuickBooks Payments?
A: Your payment processing fees and deposits aren't on the same schedule anymore. Deposits go into your bank account the next business day, but fees still come out 2-3 days later. We'll let you know if that changes.
Q: How do I send my QuickBooks Payments deposits to a different bank account?
A: You need to update the bank account. To do this, see Update your Payments deposit account for QuickBooks Online.
Q: How are deposits and fees recorded in QuickBooks Payments?
A: QuickBooks Online automatically records deposits and fees for your QuickBooks Payments transactions. Make sure your QuickBooks Payments account is configured to match and record automatically. Don't forget to check if the appropriate accounts are selected.
Q: How are my QuickBooks Payment deposits matched with my bank feeds?
A: Deposits and fees for payments processed through QuickBooks are automatically recorded to your bank account. Open your bank feed, then select Match. QuickBooks automatically matches your invoices and payments for you.

A: Note that you need to increase your Accounts Receivable (A/R) and decrease your Undeposited Funds account. To do this, see Handle rejected or failed ACH payment from customers or vendors.
Q: My American Express payments are in my bank account in 2 business days, but other credit card payments are there the next business day. Why is that?
A: If you are an American Express ESA account holder, we can't offer next-day deposits to you, unfortunately. American Express controls the deposit schedule for ESA account holders. We'll let you know if that changes.
