If you are saying the descriptions show from the item list but not when the item is used on an invoice, submit a bug report from quickbooks>quickbooks feedback.

Hi there, @jsummer07.
Thanks for getting back to us and providing additional details. I'm here to point you in the right direction for determining why the item description is not showing on the invoice.
To make sure the item descriptions are included when you're transferring time entries from timesheet to invoice, you need to add the Description column in the Time/Costs settings.
Here's how:
- On the open invoice, click Time/Costs.
- In the Choose Billable Time Costs window, click the Time tab.
- Click Change.
- Select Do not combine activities.
- Select Transfer service item descriptions.
I've attached an additional reference about timesheet in QuickBooks: QuickBooks Desktop for Mac 2019 User’s Guide (Filling in weekly timesheets page 119-120).
If you get the same result, I recommend reaching out to our Customer Care support. They can use the screen share tool to help you get to the resolution quickly.
Here's how:
- Go to: https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact.
- Select QuickBooks Mac Desktop.
- Select a topic.
- Click on the Get Phone Number button.
That should get you back on track. Please don't hesitate to let me know if I can be of further assistance. I'll be happy to help you out. Wishing you well.
