by Intuit•18• Updated 2 days ago
Forgot your user ID or password? Get a verification code sent to your registered contact info or use your ID documents to securely regain access to your Intuit Account.
Before you start
To begin, ensure you have the following information or documents ready:
- Access to contact info: You’ll need the phone number or email address currently associated with your account.
- Identity verification: If you lack access to your phone or email, you must provide a photo of one of these documents for our recovery form:
- Driver’s license
- Government-issued ID
- Passport
- Notarised document
Steps to recover your Intuit Account
If you can’t sign in, but still have access to the phone number or email address on file:
- Navigate to our sign-in page.
- Enter your phone number, email address, or user ID and select Continue.
- If you used a phone number or email, check your messages for a verification code.
- Note: Keep the sign-in page tab open while checking your inbox in a new tab.
- Enter the code and select Continue.
- Select the account you want to access from the list.
- Enter a new password and select Update password, or select Skip.
If you entered a user ID instead:
- Select either Forgot password? or Text a code to [your number].
- Follow the prompts to reset your password or skip the step.
Note: Do not close the tab containing the code entry form, or you will have to start over.
Use the account recovery form
If you cannot access your recovery phone or email, use our account recovery form to submit your ID.
- We process requests Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 6.30 PM AEDT.
- Look for an email from no_response@intuit.com within one business day for next steps.
- Once verified, you will receive a link to reset your password.
Troubleshooting verification codes
If your code has not arrived or is not working, try these steps:
- Wait time: It may take a few minutes for the code to arrive.
- Email checks: Check your junk/spam folders and ensure Do_not_reply@intuit.com is an approved sender.
- Phone checks: Ensure numbers 88811 and 97962 aren't blocked.
- Request new code: Select I didn’t get an email or I didn’t get a text message on the sign-in page.
- Code validity: Only the most recent code will work.
- Sign-in issues: If you cannot sign in after a reset, clear your browser cache and cookies, then restart your browser.
Next steps
To simplify future sign-ins, you can add a phone number to your account settings to receive text-based verification codes.
