Posted as a reply to a different thread, but I figured others may be having issues efiling with the 2024 FX module.
There are many technical changes for the 2024 filing year - please check all the following:
1) Under EFILE -> Options -> T3/FX -> Transmitter:
- Ensure Transmitter Name does not include any non-alpha characters (we had to remove a "." and also replaced "&" with "and");
- Ensure Rep ID and Transmitter Numbers (Business number + Web Access Code) are filled in
2) Under EFILE -> Options -> T3/FX -> Contact information:
- Ensure both contacts are filled in, including an email address
3) Under Options -> Environment -> Preparer, ensure RepID is filled in (matching with EFILE options above)
4) Slip Recipient names CANNOT be longer than 30 characters - this will restrict filing. In previous years, you could file despite the error message, but this is no longer allowed.
5) When you get the message "503.0 This service has moved" in the efiling window, click "File information returns electronically (tax slips and summaries), then "How to file," then "Internet file transfer." You can then proceed with filing as in previous years.
My understanding is that CRA changed their XML format for 2024, which is the cause of issues #1 through #4. Hopefully, Profile is working to fix issue #5....
I hope this helps!
Thank you for this, you got it right!
I followed your instructions and still the same Error: We are unable to process your submission because the transmitter CRA account number given in the attached T619 electronic transmittal record does not match the account number you used to sign in.
The CRA site says the following Note: When completing the T619, provide the Transmitter Account number OR the RepID OR both. Ensure that whichever account number or RepID is used to access the filing portal, the same account or Rep ID must be entered in the T619.
You are recommending both the Rep ID and business number. This isn't what CRA is requiring. But I have tried adding both and still same error. I don't know if this is Profile issue or CRA
I am receiving the same error message. Has this issue been resolved or determined if it is a cRA or profile issue?
Where can I find the T619 form? Do I need to submit this to CRA separately? Or is this automated submission when I e-file T slips?
I am curious to see if anyone has been able to Efile slips yet? I checked the XML files generated by Profile and compared it with the updated CRA schema. My XML file was still in the old schema. This would mean that this should be a universal problem for everyone. Please reply back to this comment if you filed T slips through FX after January13, 2025 to help us troubleshoot the T619 error.
No luck here. Very frustrated.
Just spoke with profile help, they walked me through a round about way to get them accepted by CRA. It is a lot more work.
efile, options, enter your WAC in transmitter id for and login manually to submit. But it did transmit.
We are having the same issue.
Not sure if this is relevant, we were told many years ago to use our firms web access code to file our clients slips, is this what others are doing as well? Is this why we are getting a record that does not match?
From the CRA rules:
The transmitter CRA account number or RepID entered in the T619 electronic transmittal record must match the account number (MyBA or WAC) or Rep ID (RAC) used to sign in
The new rules are described here: https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/e-services/filing-information-returns-electronicall...
Also, we have noticed that the BN must have 15 digits, I am not sure that this is a rule or not.
I had this same problem trying to upload the T4 data as an .XML file via Represent a Client. I downloaded a free XML editor online (MS XLM Notepad) and was then able to edit the file to add in my RepID.
I did this by duplicating the TransmitterAccountNumber folder and then editing it using the same form outlined on the CRA site:
You can view the data by opening the XML file in MS Edge.
Here's how it looked at the top of the XML file BEFORE I edited it (BN and RepID changed to all Xs):
Just got it to work by changing the transmitter Business number to the Client's BN with RZ or RP as applicable. Will see if CRA contacts us with issues..
We have been able to file 2024 T slips now. We had 2023 slips to transmit and those are not working still.
Profile only supports fling for 2024 slips. ProFIle does not "yet" support filing slips for previous years due to these new CRA changes.
I had same issue with Profile. I did manage to get it to work. I have a professional corporation. On the E-file Options page under T3/FX Transmitter section I used my corporation name as "Name", left RepID blank and under Transmitter Number I had to add RP001 to the end of my BN (which Profile pulled from another section) and made sure my WAC was entered. Then I went to Efile - Transmit Slips and created XML file as usual. The Profile link to CRA website gave an error (503.0 This service has moved) so I manually went in my browser to https://apps.cra-arc.gc.ca/ebci/njfs/ext/disclaimer and logged in as usual with by BN and WAC, uploaded XML file and submitted. Good Luck!
I will also add that I left the RepID field blank if some of you are still having issues
Thank you, this worked for me! I just opened the XML file in Notepad and added the following after </TransmitterAccountNumber>:
<TransmitterRepID>
<RepID>XXXXXX</RepID>
</TransmitterRepID>
Thanks! This worked for us as well.
